Message	more popular types. Yet no one has shown any data to support this nor have I seen a "my z is dead because of a fram filter" post. Why are you changing oil weights? Does it really make that much of a difference? I was always under the impression that those weights should be selected based on your ambient driving temps, especially during cold starts. A factor which is more or less irrelevant if the car is garaged/stored for the winter. I have never been presented any evidence for using anything other than 10w30 for my car.
